What better way to celebrate Queensland Mining, than attending the Queensland Mining and Engineering Expo in Mackay. Connecting with clients, industry and our community.
It’s a fresh start to the financial year and a great opportunity to connect with our clients and the Mackay community. You may recall from an earlier post of mine that our leadership team was in the process of finalising our FY25 strategy. Well, that’s now complete and we’re gearing up for the year ahead to continue to drive efficiencies for our clients.
Our experienced senior engineers are supported by a talented project support team and work with our clients across the full capital project lifecycle. We understand each client operates differently, so we’re responsive to their needs and collaborate with them to ensure our team follows our clients’ project framework.
AGILITY AND RESPONSIVENESS
Seeing Waterline’s evolution over the years and being part of this journey has been humbling and rewarding. In May we celebrated 13 years, growing from 6 employees in 2011 to more than 85 employees in 2024. Our people have been behind this success as we continue to support our clients in the Queensland Mining Industry.
We’re problem solvers and are driven to deliver exceptional experiences for our clients. We treat our clients’ jobs as if it was one of our own—our own investment, our own resources. With an owner’s mindset we’re determined to simplify processes and deliver value for our clients that ensures we make their life easier.
Our clients appreciate our pragmatic approach and value how we’re driven to ensure their project outcomes are successful. This has been a key driver for our growth, with our clients seeking Waterline’s highly skilled team to solve their engineering problems.
OUR FOCUS FOR FY25
You may recall in my previous post I mentioned that our leaders and I were finalising our FY25 strategy. That’s now been completed, my team and I are looking forward to visiting our clients at their mining sites starting this month, to share our future for Waterline and how we can continue to support their advisory, capital and site engineering projects.
As a people-first business, we will continue to work with our people to create the best place to work at, where their contribution supports our clients’ aspirations. It’s our people who make a difference, with some of our team having walked in our clients’ boots themselves. So they understand our clients’ challenges and want our clients’ projects to succeed. Because if our clients are successful, our people are successful.
Speaking of client success, we’re in the process of wrapping up our engagement with Stanmore Resources for their South Walker Creek Mine Infrastructure project. We’ll be sharing some more information on this project as well in the coming months, so stay tuned for more information. While I’m exceptionally proud of our team for delivering high-quality work for our client, it’s fantastic to receive feedback from our client, Jarrod Layton on how we’ve supported him and his team:
“Stanmore partnered with Waterline due to their agile and tailored engineering solutions for capital projects, and access to their experienced senior leaders and site engineers. Waterline brought an owner’s mindset to this engagement—they understood our challenges and requirements. They have been committed to delivering mutual success—can’t recommend them enough.”
