Returning to MESC QLD
I’m excited to attend MESC QLD 2025—with this year feeling particularly special. While I’ve attended the conference for several years, this will be my first as part of the Waterline team, and the experience already feels different.
From a site-based role at BHP BMA’s Saraji Mine, transitioning to Waterline was a natural next step. I was drawn to the team’s commitment to supporting the resources sector with pragmatic, forward-thinking engineering solutions. Our multi-discipline engineers bring deep industry insight and the agility to help clients enhance productive capacity and operational efficiency—something that continues to inspire me in this role.
Engineering that delivers results
What sets Waterline apart is our owner’s mindset—an approach embedded in every engagement. We’re focused on delivering tangible outcomes for our clients, regardless of project scale or complexity. A perfect example is the MIA (mine industrial area) expansion project we delivered for Stanmore Resources at their South Walker Creek site. This was Waterline’s largest multi-discipline project, bringing together civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical capabilities.
We designed a solution that enables our client to meet future production demands of approximately 9.4 Mtpa, increasing capacity for their existing fleet, and allowing for further expansion, while maximising the existing MIA footprint. You can learn more about the project here and listen to our client explain why they partnered with us below.
This example exemplifies how our team can deliver value across complex advisory, capital, and site engineering projects. You can also read more about some of the projects we’ve delivered for our clients here. Attending MESC QLD 2025 reflects our commitment to innovation and staying at the forefront of industry change—particularly as we explore how AI and emerging technologies can further enhance our services and client outcomes.
Listen to our AI presentation and visit our booth #12
I am proud to share that Randall Makin, Waterline’s Co-founder and I will take the stage at MESC QLD to showcase real-world AI applications in engineering. We will share practical use cases to help you harness AI tools in your own workplace—streamlining processes and improving efficiencies.
We’d love to connect with you. Stop by booth #12 to chat with us about your upcoming projects, discover more AI use cases, and learn how Waterline can support your engineering projects. Plus—we’re giving away 2 x 3D-printed Roof Supports and other giveaways during the event. These unique models always generate interest, so make sure you don’t miss out.
We’re looking forward to seeing you at MESC QLD 2025—let’s connect and share ideas on how we can improve safety in our industry while keeping your site productive.
Not attending this year’s event? We can still connect before or after the event. Reach out to me on the details below and let’s connect to discuss your current and upcoming projects.
