Waterline was engaged by BMA to audit their IS calculations for the gas monitoring and communications equipment associated with the LW19 Conveyor. This involved IS rated bus systems that incorporate many devices on each circuit, making the IS calcs more complex.
Waterline analysed the proposed circuits and reviewed the calculations provided against the manufacturer’s specifications and the relevant Standards in the AS60079 series to ensure the installation was designed correctly and safely.
Waterline reviewed the calculations and confirmed that BMA’s design was compliant as long as it was installed accurately as per the final drawings.
