While it’s only been two weeks since my return to Waterline, I am thrilled to be back as the Head of New Business.
This opportunity to rejoin a dynamic and innovative team fills me with great excitement, affording me the chance to reconnect with our clients, prospective clients and also our Waterliners. Having spent some time at RedEye Apps as its Chief Executive Officer and leading the successful acquisition of RedEye (Acquired FTV:NYSE), I’m excited to bring some of my learnings and contacts to Waterline.
At Waterline, our clients and our people are at the heart of everything we do. Our clients’ trust in our people, the high-quality work they deliver, and the partnerships we’ve cultivated with our clients and strategic partners, have been instrumental in driving our achievements.
ENGINEERING NEW SOLUTIONS
Since I co-founded Waterline back in May 2011, it has been rewarding to see the evolution of the business, and our people who take great pride in the work we deliver for our clients. To come back and lead our new business efforts helping to engineer solutions across advisory, capital and site engineering projects, not only gives me a great sense of joy but also renewed vigour and dedication to deliver exceptional experiences for our clients and our people.
Over the years, Waterline has established itself as a leader in the resources industry, renowned for its commitment to excellence and unwavering dedication to client success. We approach all our engagements with an owner’s mindset so that we’re delivering mutually beneficial outcomes for our clients and our people. If our clients are successful, our people are successful. As I step back into this role, I am eager to build upon these strong foundations and contribute to the continued growth of Waterline.
CONNECTING AND RECONNECTING WITH OUR CLIENTS
In my new capacity, I am excited to explore fresh opportunities, introduce innovative solutions, and collaborate closely with our clients to understand and meet their evolving needs. One of the aspects I relish about our business is connecting with our clients, visiting their operations and helping them improve safety, productivity and efficiencies. Our team will be connecting with clients in the Mount Isa region from 1 – 3 October 2024, as we share project learnings that can help improve the efficiency, safety and productivity of their operations. If you’re available during that time, please reach out to me and we can arrange a time for our team, comprising Simon Barber Senior Mechanical Engineer & RPEQ, Tony Robertson Engineering Account Manager and Steven Cheyne General Manager Strategic Growth to drop by at your operation.
Our team is also stopping by at Stanmore’s South Walker Creek, with Kylie Davey Senior Project Manager & Operational Support Team Lead, Shane Miles Electrical Team Lead and Justin Pearson Senior Mechanical Engineer RPEQ, to share learnings and continue to support our client.
I’ll also be heading up to Mackay on 4 October 2024 and stopping by at Moranbah for a CrossFit Competition. Just happens to the be the Annual Moranbah Pairs CrossFit competition, hosted by Moranbah CrossFit. Those who know me will be aware of my passion for the sport, not only from a physical health perspective, but it’s also from a mental health perspective. The camaraderie and commitment to the sport, while also having fun is what keeps me coming back for more. I’m looking forward to connecting with the Moranbah community, some of our clients and having a blast on 5 October 2024. If you’re around, drop by for a chat.
