We have partnered with Omnii, a specialist fire consultancy providing Fire Engineering, Fire Protection Services, Special Hazards, Dangerous Goods, and Fire Safety Compliance services. Omnii’s independence and technical depth enable delivery of performance-based solutions as well as Deemed-to-Satisfy (DTS) designs. Omnii’s work is underpinned by an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ensuring a consistent approach to safety, compliance, and project delivery.

Project: Coal Mine | 2D & 3D Conveyor Fire Protection

Location: Central Queensland

Service: Fire Protection Services

Scope:

Fire hazard review conducted as part of a Coal Preparation Plant upgrade to support higher throughput
Identified vulnerable areas requiring enhanced fire protection measures
Recommended installation of a fixed spray fire suppression system to mitigate risk

Design approach:

Developed a Basis of Design outlining existing infrastructure and required upgrades
Ensured compliance with AS 2118 and FM 7-11 standards
Utilised 3D scan data for accurate modelling and seamless integration with existing assets
Design incorporated a fixed automatic deluge system per conveyor,
activated by a linear heat detection system for rapid response
